I’m working full-time during the day and would like to take classes at a uni in Melbourne to work towards a graduate degree in either business, economics, teaching or related fields. I’m not too picky about the particular uni – I just want to be able to learn the stuff. I finish work around 6 or 7 most days Monday to Friday. Is there any way I can get such a degree and remain in Melbourne?

Distance education might be the best choice as evening classes for most degree subjects start around 6.30-7pm or even earlier 5.30 etc. Each subject is conducted on a single day so you have to get through around 3-4 hours work in a single night – so a later start is not possible and it is not feasible for most workers to come two nights a week for the same subject.
Have a look at the Distance education unis – Deakin, CSU, SCU, UNE, UniSA, ECU and see if they have something you like.
