I have Sony Ericsson w580i mobile. It ocassionally connects to the GPRS and transfers some data. Looks as if my mobile is infected with a virus.
I need a free anti-virus software so that I can scan and remove the virus from it.
Can anyone suggest any “trusted” sites that has a compatible anti-virus software and available for free?

While there *are* viruses for mobile phones, only phones running the Symbian S60 R2 operating system are seriously threatened by them. (Although proof-of-concept viruses exist for phones running the PalmOS, Windows Mobile and Symbian UIQ operating systems, these viruses have no chance of surviving in the wild.)
However, the Sony Ericsson W580i runs neither of these operating systems – it uses a proprietary operating system. There are neither viruses, nor anti-virus programs (free or otherwise) for it. Your problem has probably something to do with the configuration of the device or with some application installed on it (e.g., a J2ME RSS reader).
