How To Remove/disable: (microsoft’s You May Be A Victim Of Software Counterfeiting Message) From Toolbar?

I installed a Microsoft update after being prompted, one day, after restarting my PC. Since, a *YOU MAY BE A VICTIM OF SOFTWARE COUNTERFEITING* prompt installed itself in my toolbar and prompts up about every 15 minutes or so. I CTR+ALT+DEL and checked my processes but don’t know what process it is to disable.
Anybody know how I can disable it?

Download and check your running processes, explains each one.http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Ant…
Also download this program and do a fullsystem scan to check for malware.

You can’t get rid of this message as it is installed because you are probably using a conterfeit microsoft product such as you OS eg XP or Vista whatever one you are using is a copy the only thing which would solve this if you brought a legit copy from a store or directly from microsoft.

If you believe this is in error, that you bought a legal copy of Windows, then you would contact Microsoft so they could verify and update their authentication system.
If you indeed have pirated/cracked copy, then you would need to buy a legal copy.
