use a ripper to rip dvd into avi or wmv or other format,then you can watch it on your laptop.
use Pavtube DVD Ripper to help you do the ripping job.

if u want to just watch the movie on yur computer, use quicktime. its very easy to get online and use. But, if u wanna use a software to get it on yur ipod, u can use somathing like cucusoft which is like 25 bucks but it’s great it automatically downloads yur dvds onto yur ipod.
I’m using a dvd ripper to rip dvd to my computer then enjoy them without the original dvd disk
