Is It Possible To Connect To The Internet On Your Phone Using Your Computer Internet Connection?

I am not talking about using your phone as a modem and connection the computer to the internet. What i want to know is if it is possible to do it the other way around.
I am currently using a windows mobile 6.5 phone and i am running windows vista on my computer. When i connect the phone to the computer via USB, i am able to access internet on my phone, But i am not sure if that is internet by 3G or by my computer’s internet connection. Thank you.
