My wife and I do not getting along for the entire marriage life. Recently, she threaten to kill me. She hoild a cissor and put it to my face and said ” I wished I could kill you!”. Does it legal to make a video tape to protect myself? Does it legal to use the tape to file against her if I decided to go ahead to hire an expert to install a video camara in my home and use the tape later at the court? Do I need a court permission?
Thanks for your answers.

Haha Kevin’s answer made me laugh!
Well,
It’s not illegal to videotape your wife saying that, it’s protecting yourself for sure. I’m not sure if she meant that in any threatening way, but she said she “WISHED” she could’ve killed you. No you cannot use this as evidence to charge her in anyway because she didn’t say I’m going to kill you.
Anyways, please next time you ask a question use proper grammar.
“IS it legal to record a video tape when my spouse threatens to kill me” – And she didn’t directly.
Merry X-mas and have a happy new year!

You should call the police if your wife threatens to kill you with a weapon. You should also get a divorce.
You may legally videotape or otherwise record any conversation or interaction that you are a party to.
If this is true, get out now and file for divorce. If you stay any longer, you may end up recording your own demise.
instead of doing all that just leave and file for divorce, if you can’t get along why punish yourself.
I would get the #$%@ out of that relationship faster than Tiger Woods!
do it
it is threatening behaviour at the very least
that’s weird!
