Hi,
I was just wondering what the year range on software means. For example, when I use Macromedia Fireworks CS3 at my shcool, the start up screen starts like this “copyright (c) 1998-2007…”, anyone know what this means?
Thank you

It first came out in 1998. The version you’re using now came out in 2007.
It’s the first year it was copyrighted, followed by the latest year that version of the software was released.
