Some wireless networks have an access list or a ‘white list.’
This means that to get on to the network, you have to be put onto that list to connect.
If you know it doesn’t have this, try another wireless device (maybe your phone) to see if your PSP is the problem.

The psp won’t connect to a wireless network that needs browser verification. Some of the so call hotspots when you log on with a laptop take you to their own home page to log in, the psp won’t do that apparently, so alot of the hotspots don’t work. It’s more for connecting to your own wireless network at home.

The PSP will recognize and redirect to a certain page if the router requires a log in first. There are 2 possible reasons you can’t connect, ever a firewall, white list or other program is restricting access to the router to certain IP’s or MAC addresses. Or! The router isn’t connected directly to a modem, the PSP can only do direct connections and cannot be routed through a network after the wireless connection.
