Don’t listen to any idiot saying quit php. PHP is the fastest growing server side scripting language.
And if the matter of getting high salaries then we have to proe our skills , technology dosn’t affect your salaries.
Facebook is built in php and they are on top. I cant give more examples.
Just work hard try to get use to MVC pattern frameworks like CI and Zend.
do Zend certification if possible.
1. Learn a typed language (i.e. C#, Java, C++), they typically pay more and salaries typically top out much higher.
2. Move companies about every 5 years (heard that from lots of people).
3. When you have a choice of how to build something, integrate some new library, technology or technique you are not familiar with. Then you get a broader range of experiences.
