What Is The Beset Conversion Setting To Use When Converting A Movie To Ipod Format So That You Can Play On Tv?

I am currently using Cucusoft Ultimate DVD + Video Converter Suite to convert my movie to ipod format. I recently bought the cord that lets me plug my ipod to my tv to play movies on my tv. However the quality is really bad the picture is blown up and streched. What is the best format to use to convert to so that the movie plays in good quality?
