Audacity (free)http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
You'll also need LAME encoder. It's needed for audacity to export audio in MP3 format. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download…
Just save it somewhere on your computer. Audacity will ask you to locate LAME encoder the first time you export your audio.
Start Up Audacity then click Edit/Preferences
select the playback and recording device t.
set the recording channels to two (stereo).
select Wave Out Mix in the input selector. You want your audio output to be directly recorded.
That's it
If you need a more detail guide, read thishttp://mouseblog.wordpress.com/2008/01/1…
[Edit]
Audacity is available for Mac as well
