My husband is the tech guy, I just show up and talk for that podcast. For my medical podcast, I edit using Audacity. It’s easy to use and free.
If you have specific questions, email us through the above website. We had some help early on from some veteran podcasters, and my hubby is usually pretty willing to help others who are interested in the hobby.

A Macintosh, using Apple’s Garageband software. It’s made for producing podcasts.
Lots of choices with this one. If you have a video ipod, it will record high qualiy audio with accessories from Belkin and others. Other vendors offer mixing boards that plug into your computer and work with audio editing programs. On the Mac side, Garageband software (built into iLife) supports audio podcasting. A decent quality mic is a must, and after that, it is just finding a good interface to get the audio in to the computer. good luck!
