How Do I Configure A Wireless Connection Without The Router Software?
I have tried to configure my computer to a new network, but can not do so.
1. I am aware of the fact that I can’t have windows AND the wireless software both activated.
2. I unclick the “Use Windows to configure my wireless settings” box, however, the router software installed is for a Linksys router and I am now trying to connect to a Netgear router.
3. I don’t have the software CD for the Netgear.
4. When I first connected to this network, my brother was able to somehow connect me to the Netgear router without the software (he’s a comp. geek). Problem is, I moved and went back to Linksys and now I am back and need to connect to Netgear.
I can’t find my answer in any other article about this topic, please help!!!
Oh, and I tried to remove the linksys software, but can’t find it on my computer. I have no idea what to do…..thanks for any help.
