What Kind Of Graphic Design Software Is Most Commonly Used With A Pc?

I am an aspiring graphic designer and I have a Dell,which is obviously a PC.I was wonder if there were any graphic design softwares out there that could be used with a PC.
Any help here?

If you want a free one, GIMP can take a little bit to get used to but it’s good once you get the hang of it.
If you have some cash, Corel Photoshop pro costs $120 last I checked for the latest version. I only use it because my cousin bought if for my birthday and it’s amazing.
Paintshop is a bit weaker in my opinion but a good $30-$70 depending on the version.
I also bought Printshop Deluxe for $50 before I got Corel.
adobe photoshop for the vast majority of image manipulation, adobe illustrator for vector (scaleable) graphics and text and adobe dreamweaver for the web. These three programs will help you with 90% of your design needs. There are others that do a similar job, and others that expand on elements of these, but as a designer you should start here. There are also many free tutorials available on the web that teach effects and techniques for each. Good luck
Adobe Creative Suite has the lock on the industry (tho Quark users would argue differently…suckas!)
The current version is CS4 and is available in many flavors for print, web, video, etc. While most of these apps were born on Mac, they’ve been available for Windows for quite a while now and have all the same features.

If you want to go professional – Adobe is the industry standard.
I will suggest using Adobe Creative Suite 4 – Design Premium package for software.

Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash, etc etc. Adobe has any program you will ever need, but it is very very very expensive, so try to download a free one some where, but that can be hard to find sometimes
