I want to have a massive map of the world (on my laptop or stored on a memory stick) so that I can record all the places that I visit. I would like to make a mark on the map e.g. a coloured circle that would link to a folder of photos once it has been clicked on (made into a hyperlink). I already have the picture of a map of the world and can easily get the photos onto my laptop and put them into the folders.
Which software can I use to make the marks and make them into hyperlinks to folders and how?

As you already have the map and the photos, all you need do is draw a button on your map in the relevant places, and right click of mouse down to hyperlink and browse to the location of the individual photos.
Otherwise I would think using Google Earth 4.3 you could put in the locations and then pin them, Not quite sure though how you would hyperlink those locations back to your photos.
