I have a computer program that uses 8 floppy disks to upload. I want to transfer the data to a cd. Is there a method that will work so I can use the cd to upload all of the data?

Copy all your data from the floppy disks onto your desktop, and then put in a blank cd. After, open your CD and drag your data into it. It should save there. Or, just simply burn all the data onto your cd.
save the data on your HD first, then burn to CD
