See i am getting an ipod touch soon and i need to know if it already has the software 1.1.1 or am i going to have to downgrade.
Also when I jailbreak it do I have to have it connected to my comp or not?
One more question is what is the best game to have on your ipod touch?

1. If you’re buying it in the next few days from an apple store (or any major store for that matteR), it will likely be 1.1.4
2. Yes
3. What’s the best drink? See where I’m going with this? It’s a matter of preference when it comes to the “best” game.
Good luck.
Why would it come with 1.1.1? The newest update is 1.1.4, so it will come with that.
You can jailbreak without downgrading…simply use ZiPhone or iLiberty+
You need to connect with your computer, unless you’re on 1.1.1 (but you need to connect to downgrade…so why not just jailbreak 1.1.4?)
Best game currently is Tap Tap Revolution, but you need to be connected to the internet, and it still has a ton of bugs (I fixed most of them, but I did it in the SDK, so it won’t be released until late June)
Also, the best are the emulators even though it’s illegal to have them (yes, any kind of emulator is illegal whether it’s on your PC, PSP, or iPhone…even if you own the game)
Most stable and functioning games are: Chuzzle, iSolitaire, Five Dice (Yatzee…it’s amazing! It looks professional, no bugs, it’s the only app in jailbreaking that doesn’t need to be updated anymore =))
If your ipod comes with a certain software, there is no possible way to downgrade it further, because there simply isn’t anything to downgrade. At least, that’s what I’ve read.
