The best you can use is Photoshop which also requires the most practice and learning but you can do anything you want with it.
The easiest and most limited would be something like Picasa from Google
Just depends whether you want to be limited or not.
If you want FREE you can download and use Gimp which is similar to Photoshop.
There is no such thing as a “most popular” subject for photography – just make sure that you are interested in what you photograph and make sure you compose your photos well and make sure that lighting, depth of field and speed of film are correct for the situation.
Which web sites are best to sell your photos – try searching on Google. there are a lot of royalty type sites around. Don’t expect to get rich overnight though.
