transfering a video from my sony handycam vision ccd-trv88 to my pc using a s-video cable. My video card is a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5000. The video card reads the camera as a TV but i cannot display on my monitor. And then after that how can i record it, or transfer the video. I mean what software should i use or do i need drivers for the camera.
Thanks in advance
Chris

I assume that you camera have a dv out via firewire cable.
So instead of using display card for capturing, why not add 1 PCI card, that is a firewire card, that can do the work at higher quality. Price, very cheap. Using software you can capture the clip, edit, and outputting to many format.
