mi printer broke down, and I bought the exact same model RX 620 epson but is not printing. does this mean that i need to install the same “new” CD software?

It is always sensible to reinstall the software, even though it is the same model, as there maybe changes to the hardware internals or the driver software

Your new printer and your old printer will not show up as the same exact thing. In other words:
Say you are printing in Microsoft Word or something. When you go to file -> print (ctrl+p), and you can select what printer to use, the printer listed there (although it may match) will not be the same as the new one you bought. The CD is merely a driver that allows it to print.
Go to Start->Control Panel-> Printers. There, you may find the new printer listed as Epson RX620 (2) or something like that. Set that as your new default printer and delete the old one. It should work.
If this doesn’t work or its not listed like i said. Uninstall the software throught Start->Control Panel -> Programs and reinstall software from the epson website (http://www.epson.com) to ensure proper function.
