I’m Looking For Some Screen And Audio Capturing Software That Will Record Into An Easy To Play Back Format.?

I need to capture PowerPoint slides and a person’s voice and be able to play it back and edit it in an easy format. I want the file to be in an easy to edit format so I can make some changes and then play the video back live in a webinar I’m hosting. Any good video/audio software recommendations? Free software is preferred.
