I Ordered The Wrong Software For Computer And Didn’t Realize Until I Opened And Started Installing?

it’s not what i need for school and since i opened it am i not able to return it now? I need the other program and don’t have another $300 to spend! I ordered it online — i am soooo upset! Can opened software be exchanged for the correct one if I goofed and got the wrong one?

  1. Talk to the people that you got it from.If it’s unused they should take it back, even if it’s been opened.

  2. jtnt says:

I’d sell it on eBay or Craigslist to try to recoup some of your money, because you’re not going to be able to return the software anywhere now that’s it’s opened. Sorry.

  3. [Proto type] says:

it depends on the manufacturer. most likely they will not let you return it. it’s like how wal-mart wont let you return an open cd because they probably assume you’ve burned it and want your money back.

  4. Colinc says:

Opening the packaging is considered acceptance of the licence. As of this time you have no right to return it.

  5. Jack D says:

Depends on what the software is and what the suppliers terms are…. ask the supplier.
If you can’t return it then there is always torrents
