Is There A Good Software To Use To Organize My Photos, Especially Delete Duplicate Pics In My Collection?

i have over 5,000 pictures in my collection but i would guess there are at least 1,500 that are duplicates for whatever reason. it is entirely too difficult and time consuming to try and figure out and delete these duplicates. i have used picasa and kodak easy share and the canon softwares and they do not have that option.
