What’s The Best Home Recording Studio Software?

I’m on windows xp, i’ve heard logic 8 is really good but seeing as i’m not a mac user i think that’s out of the question. i want something that is easy enough to use, allows me to layer vocals and mess around with pitch and rhythm and that sort of thing. i don’t really have any experience with recording studio software but i’m a fast learner and don’t want something i’m going to get bored with!

I’d Like To Donate Legal/new Copies Of Autocad Software. Can Someone Suggest An Appropriate Charity/nonprofit?

I have shrink-wrapped copies of AutoCAD software, although it’s not the latest version. They are legal, legitimate, and unopened boxes (for Windows). I need to find a charity or non-profit that can put the software to good use.
I’d also like to have a donation receipt for tax purposes.

What Software Would Be Best For Playing A Usb-midi Keyboard In Real Time (or Close To Real Time)?

I have a usb-midi cable for my keyboard and I’d like to be able to both record and use it for live performance, but all the software I’ve tried this with has a delay of a fraction of a second which makes recording difficult and live performance impossible.
I’m not necessarily looking for free software – I’m willing to pay for something that will work.
