I been having so many problems with my computer and I am tired of having to reload and reinstall everything from all my backup disc. I’m interested in setting up a RAID 1 on a desktop computer (WinXP Home). I want to just attach it to a router and let it sit there for backups/storage. There are only 3 other computers in my home network. Should I use hardware or software raid? Should I use XP Pro or Windows 2000/2003 or just keep XP Home on it? I have heard that if the OS is Windows XP, etc and a person tries to update any software from the Windows update, his OS gets corrupted and the PC starts giving problems later. The existing software is verified by Windows through internet while updating and makes the system go haywire afterwards. I’ve been experimenting with equalizer software, specifically a couple of WinAmp plugins, one is OzoneMP by iZotope, another is Electri-Q by AiXcoustic.
Can someone please find info to give me a crash course in using EQ software in general, these in particular, to reencode audio for a car audio system + subwoofer?
For example, the Ozone plugin has various equalizer presets for frequencies, but it also has an array of settings to set the “room” size. How do I tailor this to the interior of my ’96 Chevy Monte Carlo?!
