What Easy/cheap Software Can I Use To Edit My Own Music Video?

I have a Dell computer with Windows. Can you tell me what cheap/free software is out there to help me create a music video? I don’t need anything too advanced/complex. All I want to be able to do is upload my video file and sync it up with a cd recording of a song and do some simple scene splicing.

I would suggest Adobe Premiere Elements for $60 if you are in school, or a teacher. $100 regular price (Adobe Premiere Pro is the program I use, and is industry standard) The elements version is much easier to use without reducing the neccessary capablilities for editing.
http://www.jashaka.org is a free editor, but it crashed on my computer, maybe it will work for you though.
And also I echo the other answerer’s response in that Windows Movie Maker is a good program for basic editing. I have had good success with that.
Oh yea one more thing. For editing your music for your video, definately check out audacity at sourceforge.net

Since you have Windows, you have Windows Movie Maker. It should work well!

Using Windows Movie maker you can edit the music video. You can import or export the videos from anywhere and edit it.
