Will A New Sound Card Increase Speed Of My Music Production Software And Midi Devices?

My computer is really slow with my music software plus my MIDI keyboard is well slow, I have to wait like a second for sound to play after I press one of the keys. so will a sound card help? and what sound card to recomend?

You should have posted the specs ,the sound card wont help with the sound software for that you must get more ram or if the pc is topnotch clean it of viruses , but a sound card may help with the midi
Sound cards are all about input and output of sound waves. In this case its going from analog to digital. What you need is a new CPU and/or more memory or in other words a brand new PC if you are not sure about how to upgrade.
FYI: the better the sound card, the more output channels you will have plus more quality into the sound you are hearing.
Its possible, but its more likely to be lack of CPU Power or RAM.
