We are interested in recording the music we play, acoustic rhythm guitar and bass so we can hear what we sound like. What is the best current computer software available under $150.00?

The best program for recording your own music is Garageband. It comes free with every mac.
It’s basically an entire recording studio inside of your computer. You can record with a microphone, plug in a guitar and do many effects with it, use midi to simulate many instruments, use incredibly high quality built in loops, edit your music on multiple tracks, adjust pitch, timing, edit note by note, and more. Great for both music experts and novices alike.

The best solution for PC is Magix Audio, from what I hear. It has many of the same features as Garageband. In all honesty, you should really get a mac if want to make music. You will not regret it.
the best is garage band if you have apple. And is 79.99. But only compatible for macs.

I’m a professional musician and use the software for my electronic drums.
I used to use Mixcraft its by Acoustica if i can remember correctly. You can record each instrument/voice on each track and mix em up together.
