auto cad LT for design(only cost somewhere around $500, but lacks 3d which you don’t need for cabinets). but he will just have to do spreadsheets in access or excel, to get show parts. They haven’t worked out all the kinks in programs that suck out information on CAD dwgs yet, and even if they had these programs run about $10k
