Is There Any Software Which Works As A Webcam Without Connecting To A Physical Webcam?

like we use any webcam (hardware) to share live images on mesngr, but is there any software which works as a webcam itself. there is no need to have a physical webcam? pls reply. thanks.

    Of course there’s software like that!…. It’s just like buying software that works like a screen … without actually buying a screen. Computers can do anything!
    I hear that in 2013 there will be software that will replace the entire computer. Now that’s portable!

    I am sure there are s/w out there that can upload local videos streams onto your messenger as webcam stream.
    If not, they should develop one. Its a good idea.
    I don’t know why people are saying its dumb. I think its very much possible. Some people have limitations when it comes to thinking.

    Um, sorry no.
    Software is just software. It cannot act as a camera.
    To share webcam images you need the camera.

    Unfortunately no…we can digitize things like calculators, but you’ve got to have a piece of hardware to input the images to the PC.

    Did you actually read this question before you posted it?
    The function of web camera is to take still or moving images and send them to another location. If you don’t have a ‘camera’. how do you send the images? Psychic?
    Next you’ll want to send your voice without a microphone…
