Hi there. try downloading dvdfab h decrypter from dvdidle, just go to the bottom of the page and where it says free stuff click on that. Then when the page comes up, just download it . It should be version 3.1.4.0 unless its been updated. That will copy the film to your hard drive, then you can run it through dvd shrink, just google that. If the movie is to long then you can get rid of any extras, like different audio streams and such. Thats how to back it up.Now download a burning program called imgburn, its free and you can burn your dvd with that. The version of imgburn you need is 2.3.2.0, and follow the instructions. Good luck. If you need any help just email me.

You don’t need burning software, you need ripping software. Ripping the DVD is when the encryption needs to be removed. Try MacTheRipper or DVDBackup. Once ripped and decrypted, they can be burned with any old DVD authoring software. However, most will also need to be compressed in order to fit on a DVD-R. Try DVD2OneX for this. I’ve never had a problem, and the video quality is awesome.
