How do I download a video from YouTube? I hav tried many websites and software tools which claim to do so,but all of them require dat I paste da URL of required video from the webpage. Whenever I do so I receive da message invalid URL.Pls help me out.

You can download it using RealPlayer. Search it on google. It’s free.
Let me show you the steps :
1. Download RealPlayer then follow the steps until it finished.
2. Launch RealPlayer then Click on Tools on the left then scroll down to Preferences.
3. Scroll down to Download & Recording then check to see if there’s a check mark on where it says Enable Web Downloading & Recording, if not then place one on it.
3. Now you can just put or move your mouse on any flash videos, then something will pop up that says Download This Video.
4. After it’s done downloading, you can find by going to My Documents, then go to My Videos then to RealPlayer Downloads. Everything should be in there.
5. The file format will be Flv, and can be played using that RealPlayer. Good Luck !
This is how i usually download from youtube. It doesnt make use of any software. Although i’m not sure if you would use this. well here are the steps:
1. search the video you want to download.
2. click on it and once the video you want to donload is playing right click and choose view source
3. once the notepad opens press ctrl+f and type video_id
4. search until you find the code that looks like this one
var fullscreenUrl = ‘/watch_fullscreen?fs=1&vq=None&sourceid…
5.highlight and copy starting from the code video_id up to the code before =en&plid
6. once you copy the code close the notepad and type this in the url
http://www.youtube.com/get_video?video_id=(paste the code here)
7. once the download file window opens type in the file name you want then after the file name type .flv for example
blacklaggonopening.flv
8. once downloaded use a video converter to convert it to other video types.

If you use Safari as your browser go to the menu bar, click on “window” and choose “Activity” then a window will open showing a bunch of info about the current page’s content. There will be a file ending in .flv that would likely be the biggest (notice that it’s measured in MB instead of KB at the right). Double-click on that file and it will download. No extra software needed! (Unless you count Safari)
Now all you need is something that can transpose the .flv. file to a .wmv or a .mov file, etc. I use “iSquint” for Mac but there are tons out there for Mac or Windows.
