I’ve seen the commercials for the Rosetta stone software that is supposed to help you learn another language quickly. Has anyone really used this and does it really make it as easy as they claim?

Before paying through the nose for something that may not work for you try Before You Know It at http://www.byki.com. It is a free download of flashcards that reward with a point system. I use them for Estonian.
It works extremely well! I use it to learn French and Spanish (in addition to what I have learned at school) and it’s very helpful. My one cousin became fluent within a few months, but she learned Swedish, which is one that I haven’t tried.
I had a preview of it at the Public Library. I think it would be very helpful for learning a language.
I really want to buy a full set and do a full assessment of it, but I haven’t been able to do it yet.
For those prices, it better work! Do you know how expensive those packages are?
