I Wanna Create A Simple Bank Processing Software?

Hi,
I wanna make a software which can do a simple bank process.The program must be able to give username and password to customers. I know only a little of c++. I need to do this software as a project work to my school. So can you plz tell me what should i do? Should i use any softwares?

   Check first is there is something similar in Sourceforge.net, if so, you can download the sources of the program and see how it is, so you can change it, add it new stuff, introduce more features, etc.
