So, as you know, my printer is Lexmark X1110 printer. I’ve had it for many years now and I’ve connected it to my laptop and it is turned on and the button is green and everythin like that. But because I’ve had the printer for many years, I’ve lost the installation cd and it seems to be the only way to install the software. Is there another way to install it, if so how do I do it?

Go to Lekmark’s site and download the driver. You know that CD’s that come with any product are just as important as the product itself.
write in site ” Lexmark x 1110 driver download ” go to first site of page , find driver for xp or vista (what you have) ,download in a mirror and run it. thats all .good luck !
