Can Anyone Help Me With Information On 3d Software For Creating Anime Characters And Movies?

I am a newbie to the 3d art field. I have done webdesign and am capable of using the Macromedia (now adobe) suite. Now I’d like to learn how to make 3d animations. It would be nice if there was something out there that would allow me to work with a pre-made example and edit it to my needs, but if I have to learn from scratch, that’s fine.
I am looking for information on which softwares are good and which are best for which aspects. Free, or downloadable software would be the best, but I am willing to pay for decent software too.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Virus Help!!! I Need Assistance Asap!!! Please Help Me!!?

All right. I am typing this on my grandpa’s computer. This computer is extremely infected with viruses, and it is the only one he has. Every time you turn it on, ten different fake antivirus softwares come up. He likes to download antivirus software, and most of the time it’s a virus.
The stupid fake “antivirus” softwares won’t stop popping up. If you search for something normal, pornography pops up. This especially freaked me out when I was researching Vietnam battles. I clicked on one government site and the first thing I see is some awkward pictures. I’m still a little shocked….
My grandpa uses all his credit card numbers on this computer. I’ve been telling him he needs to get it fixed before something bad happens. I have a friend that can fix it for almost free, but he keeps telling me that he’ll get it fixed. But he never does.
What do I do? I want to gut his entire computer out and get some decent, real antivirus software that works. But, every time I suggest this, he assures me he’ll get it fixed. I need help please!

okay i have norton ineternet and all-around security from acer thats a 90-day trial… it takes up alot of ram too, so i was wondering should i keep it untill my 90 days is up or should i get free antivirus softwre that will lighten my load on my ram? i already have ad aware internet security so i need to ask what do i do!!!! id use pc tools great software unless you have any other ideas
