Will My Employment History As A Truck Driver Matter When I Start Looking For A Job As A Software Developer?

*I am taking classes online.
Here is my history:
12/03-2/05 US Army
Deployed in Iraq
Heavy Equipment Operator
4/05-4/06 OWBF (a furniture place)
Local Box Truck Driver
8/06-12/06 Werner Enterprises
OTR Truck Driver
12/06-Present JB Hunt
OTR Truck Driver
I would really like to start working for a local company so that I can be home more often but I am concerned that when I finish my Bachelors degree next summer that no one will want to hire me because I have switched jobs too many times.
What do you think about this? Will moving to one final truck driving job make a difference in whether or not I can get hired as a software developer?

Does Anyone Know Where To Go To Demo Voice Recognition Software Within The Sydney Area?

Trying to find out more information about voice recognition software and to get a demo before purchasing as it’s expensive and I want to ensure it works first! I have looked at the Dragon brand, but can’t find anyone that can demo it.

Yahoo!mail Virus Scan?

How reliable is the Yahoo!Mail virus scan and does it need to be updated too? If so, how?
One nature of my work is to receive Word and Excel files thru email. And I am using my private computer since I am based at home.
Im presently using the AVG anti-virus Free Edition and it isn’t good at all.
I don’t have the means to purchase a new and more reliable antivirus software for now.
Can i rely on the Yahoo!Mail virus scanner for the meantime?
Thanks!

What Is My Best Security Option On Windows Xp?

I’m quite confused about this security stuff. I was using Norton security scan, the free version, and one day it told my I had 18 bits of spyware. Since I didn’t want to pay for the upgrade in order to remove them, I downloaded some free spyware, firewall and anti-virus software recommended in an old Yahoo Answers answer. These are: PC Firewall Plus, PC Tools AntiVirus, SUPER AntiSpyware and ThreatFire. I then uninstalled Norton.
Since then, my desktop seems to be behaving worse than ever. It’s slower and less reliable, the spyware programme seems to keep finding new spyware despite claiming to have removed it, and there’s the edge of a window in the bottom left corner of the screen that I can’t seem to access or close by any means.
What should I do? I have 2 different computers and I’d really like not to have to spend too much on protecting them, but I’m not sure whether I can trust this free software.
What do you think is my cheapest reliable option? Ideally I’d like to get a programme that is free or as cheap as possible, can clear up the current mess, protect my computer reliably and automatically, and update automatically without my having to buy new versions!
What would be your best suggestion?
