I have a compaq laptop. By default there is a free trial of norton installed and the Vista version of Windows Defender. I’ve never installed norton, although it seems to be actively protecting my system since it stopped what it thought was a virus yesterday. Anyway, I recently installed AVG free and so far there hasn’t been any conflicts with the system. Now I want to install Malwarebytes to complete the security of my system. Here are my questions:
1. Will Malwarebytes conflict with any of my programs?
2. Could Norton and AVG conflict eachother in the event I get a virus if they both try to remove it?
3. Will adding Malwarebytes cause my computer to lag from to many background scripts running?
Thanks everyone, but please do not tell me to uninstall my current software (unless they will conflict) and please do not bother telling me about fake anti-spyware, I do my research on my topics and I’ll report you for putting fake spyware on here.

my laptop [eeepc] has a very low disk space.. and i need to install an antivirus.. but the problem is, my drive c has only 400mb of free space.. but my drive d is expandable, it can mount up to any gigabyte imaginable [according to sd card memory].. so, can i save the installer package along with back up data on drive D?

A 2nd hand computer i use runs on Windows Pro. XP SP1a version which i’ve been unable to upgrade to SP2.
