My Mom Has Been Using Her Credit Card Online For Years, And We Don’t Have A Firewall Or Antivirus??

I’m 15, so I know a bit about Identity Theft, we used to have Trend Micro Internet Security, and after turning on protection against viruses, we never had any problems, and trend micro never found anything when we scanned, but after our membership expired, we stopped using security software for two reasons, our computer would be faster, and second, we have money issues. We haven’t ran internet security checks for a year, but my mom says she has never been hacked on the internet, and we don’t need to spend 60$ on useless stuff. What should we do. We tried scanning with AVG free but we only found cookies.

Does Anyone Know Any Good Computer Hardware Diagnostic Software?

I am starting a Tech Support business and was wondering if anyone knew soft ware I could use to test and hardware and other things either from software built into windows (vista or xp) or third party soft ware (cheap or free). Or if anyone else does this what do you use?

There Is A Big Anti-virus Problem–help Me Plzzzzz?

Ok what happened is….
I have a LENOVO laptop with WINDOW VISTA….This is 1 yr old & from 1 wk a problem arises…..
There was WINDOW ANTIVIRUS SECURITY 08 which was installed when I bought it, 1 wk b4 a update msg showed & it was saying 2 update 09 version….I hv tried it & 4om that day it’s saying some of file are infected & 2 prevent that(otherwise data loss & all that) I hv 2 ACTIVATE the license which cost $50 for 1yr & $80 for 3yr……
I had KASPERSKY ANTIVISRUS & SPY DOCTOR ANTIVIRUS(which are free)bt the SECURITY CENTER was hanging after every 15-20 min & was saying that some SPY WARE is attacking my computer & PHYSICAL MEMORY IS STARTED 2 DAMAGE….
So I uninstalled the SPYWARE SOFTWARE immediately bt after that also the same thing happening…
& after every few min the WINDOW ANTIVIRUS SECURITY CENTER is asking me 2 register….
IS THERE ANY WAY 2 AVOID THE PROBLEM,I mean without activating the WINDOW ANTIVIRUS 09 which costs a lot,CAN I KEEP MY COMPUTER SAFE BY DOWNLOADING ANY OTHER SOFTWARE WHICH IS FREE / COSTS LOW & which will DISINFECT ALL THE REMAINING VIRUS & MY COMPUTER WILL BE ABSOLUTELY SAFE……
& ya the msg form WINDOW ANTIVIRUS SECURITY is SOWING after every few min,its really disgusting–So how to avoid that also…..

Help! How Do I Reinstall Windows Xp Without A Software Cd?

I have a seriouse Virus or adware Problem, I already tried every kind of antivirus and antispyware and nothing helped me agianst those websites that still keep poping when I try to get online, my laptop is too slow now so that it takes me minutes to upload windows. However I decided to reinstall my Windows xp ( of course I will back up my data first but I don’t know how I reinstall Win. Xp ? is it free? I don’t have a CD anymore can I download it online? Please help me and I will 10 POINTS and 5 stars

Need Help With Computer?

Yesterday I got infected my something that ran as SWP2009, commonly known as AntiVirus System Pro 2009. I downloaded some free Malware removing software, which seemed to have gotten rid of it because the pop-ups didn’t come up. However, now when I run my computer normally, my internet browsers don’t work eventhough my internet connection is fine. And my Norton AntiVirus is unable to do. I can only access the internet in Safe Mode…Please help, I am clueless.

Warning-visiting This Site May Harm Your Computer… Help Plz??!?

So heres how this all started…
I was on a website (forgot what website) when a pop up saying something like “Warning, your computer is infected with 300 trojans, download Personal Antivirus to remove these trojans”.. So i clicked download and ran a scan with Personal Antivirus and said i had 2000 different viruses…
Any way the next day, i went on the computer again and i did another scan on Personal Antivirus and it said i have over 15000 different viruses. I decided to run a scan with avg free 8.5 and it came up with no viruses. But just incase this wasnt true i downloaded different antivirus programs and now im using avast free. After download was completed i tried to delete Personal Antivirus thinking it was all fake, but it wouldnt delete. After trying hard to delete it, I finally got rid of it.
After that i thought it would be safe to go on the internet again…
So i tried to go on youtube but a pop up came up and said…
Warning-Visiting this site may harm your computer! This web site probably contains malicious software program, which can cause damage to your computer or perform actions without your permission. Your computer may be infected after visiting such site.
We recommend you to install (or activate) antivirus security software.
I do realize that visiting this site can cause harm to my computer.
Continue unprotected or get security software.
This happened yesterday and it wont stop at all. I can only go on about 3 or 4 websites. Can anyone please help???
