I’m using Windows XP Professional (2002) Service Pack 2, 150GHz, 760 MB of RAM.
Local disks (C:, D:) are 18.6 GB each.
Now my local disk C: only has 147 MB free space, & a window keeps popping up telling me to free some of the space. My drive D: has 7.51 GB of free space.
All my Windows components are in drive C: and I save everything else on drive D:. Does Windows use up that much space? I even empty My Documents, have only a few icons on the desktop, & stop using wallpaper but no matter what I do it’s not working.
It’s like something’s eating up the space but I don’t know what it is. I checked the files on C: but nothing’s there except Windows components.
I also have a cleaning software (CCleaner) and I remove everything (Temporary Files, cookies etc) frequently. Sometimes I delete a few softwares and it frees my drive C: up until 500MB but after some time it goes back down to around 120MB. Now I don’t have anything else to delete but it keeps saying I have to free up some space.
My antivirus is also not working because I can’t update it. It says I need to restart but when I do nothing happens & it hasn’t updated. Is it because of the limited space on C:?
