Is there a specific benchmark software I can run at the back of my computer to test the performance of the graphic card for 3 software. I want to see the VRAM, the GPU situation to see which software is pushing the card to its limits.

it been many days since i downloaded a file from net but after few day when i oppened it pc got restarted and when i saw there was a new wallpaper which says danger your computers in risk.
and they were three icons of antivirus when i click on them it say buy the software for 120$ and randomly web sites are opening with adverbs and porn sites, i cant stop the internets opening.
iresently bought the computer so there is no anti virus or firewall.
please help me, what software sould i install i need a best software for free. or the software which is around 25$.
please help me i dont know any thing about computers please.

My friend is computer illiterate and he’s in a different state. Walking him through it over the phone isn’t helping so I’m looking for a plan B. I know a lot of companies have software that they provide that lets the tech access the desktop of the computer they are trying to help and take over the computer. I have a 3-yr. old Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop with Windows XP operating system. Many people tell me I have to do this since I can’t afford a technician to fix my registry that’s infected with Trojan.Zlob, & I keep getting ERROR CODE 19, & my DVD+RW drive is corrupted & missing. But the thing is-I’m afraid to lose certain programs, like Microsoft Office that I paid for seperately. I can’t find the CD’s, & my computer is out of warranty.
I’d HATE to have to go this route. I wish I can get the registry fixed & my DVD+RW drive back without having to go through all this mess. This happened AS SOON AS my Norton Antivirus expired. & I didn’t know they had free virus protection software. I have Avast, Spyware Doctor, & MalWare Bytes that I got AFTER this computer mess, & none of them are effective in getting rid of this. I can’t reboot my PC into safe mode or anything, & it won’t let me restore. All I wish for is to get rid of these infections & get my DVD+RW drive back.

Pc Protection Center has installed itself onto my computer and is causing huge problems. I looked into what it was of google and there was more than a page of sites saying this: ((taken from bleepingcomputer.com))

I’ve been having a software counterfeitin’ on my menu bar and it’s hard to find a way to remove this because the genuine microsoft windows says that I got a software counterfeitin’, because of the volume key license. But it was not in my pc since I received this new pc from my mom and my uncle. I tried the other way of removin’ this but there isn’t others yet. When I have this new pc, an anti-virus was installed called the Norton. And I think I got something wrong in my hands since this genuine is trying to go on that contact when I did my yahoo prevent password theft. But, I’m only 13 and I wonder if there needs to be a way to solve this better than doin’ this bad stuff of software counterfeitin’. Anyway, I actually don’t wanna be scared of that because my mom is working hard, but this thing keeps on staying there. Help…

I had just installed the software Handbrake, which supposedly converts your DVDs to something you can put in iTunes and later upload on your iPod. But it’s sort of confusing and I don’t understand how to use it.
Can someone give me easy-to-understand software in which I can convert my DVDs to something iTunes can understand?
