how can i upload video from my digital camera..the video is actually on the mini cassette tape, but i dont have the software cd, i do have a usb cable, is it possible to get the video from the cassette? or maybe a way to transfer it from the cassette to the memory card?

Firewire really is the only way to go – A firewire card is very easy to fit to a computer and you should be able to do it yourself – but to help you go and have a look at this video :- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kI9y0l27-…
