    A really good freeware version of PhotoShop is Gimp. They even have a PhotoShop plug-in to make it feel like PhotoShop.

    Also for image editing, check out the new on-line (you don’t download anything) SumoPaint. http://www.sumopaint.com. It runs in your browser using Flash, and it’s pretty amazing.
