When burning a video or music CD, does it matter whether you use a top of the line software or Windows Media Player and other free softwares? Does the quality of the video and audio of the burned CD depend on which software you use or are they the same no matter what you use?

the final cd will be the same despite the sofware used but some software may seem to be slow or not be able to burn data cd or mp3 ,svcd ,blue ray ,etc .so its important to chose the right software .
All burning software works essentially the same. No matter what program you use, the files end up on the CD. Be careful if you use Windows Media Player if you are burning music though—I believe it puts DRM into music files by default so make sure and turn that off before you burn.
