If you do have antivirus software, and it’s not working or not updating properly, the chances that the virus has locked you out of your antivirus software are high—they may even prevent you from accessing online virus scans by modifying your hosts file. If this is the case, then you should see the section in the left sidebar entitled “Can’t Connect to Antivirus Websites?” There you will find instructions on how to reset your hosts file.
HOW DO I RESET IT I CANT SEEM TO FIND IT AND WHEN I TRY CLICKING SOME FREE VIRUS SCANS IT ALWAYS SAY PAGE NOT FOUND !!!

Do not panic.
First, you use another PC to download Clamwin portable anti-virus
and install Clamwin portable on a USB pen drive.
Download here http://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/c…
After installation, start Clamwin anti-virus on the USB pen drive and update the latest anti-virus definition files.
Select the tools menu bar, set the preferences to remove virus.

When the USB pen drive is ready to be use.
Start the infected PC in safe mode by pressing F8 during start up.
Run the Clamwin Anti-virus that is installed on the USB pen drive to scan the infected PC.
To clean spywares and browser hijackers. Download spybot search and destroy ? the best anti-spywares freeware.
into an USB pen drive from another PC. Then install spybot on the infected PC from the USB pen drive.

Anyway, try Google-ing ‘Online Virus Scanner’ and look for TrendMicro Housecall. That may help, otherwise do all that in SafeMode with Networking. (Rapidly press F8 when the computer starts up).
try to rebooth ur PC and make it in a safe mode. (just press F8) . then try to download “search & destroy spybot” ( http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybo… )
also try to use “ad-aware 2008″ ( http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_awar… )
both of them are free!
i would like to suggest u use “Sophos” as ur anti-virus. ( http://www.sophos.com/product )
