My Computer Keeps Restarting I Really Don’t Know What To Do Please Any Advice Anyone?
Well hello there idk how to explain my problem .I am sorry if its not clear pls feel free to ask more bout it ,
So here’s the thing I have a hp computer few wks ago its been acting up with virus and stuff so there was a time that whenever I put my username & password my backround screen would only show nothing further than that,no start menu nothing. At that time I could only log into my guest account but I couldn’t go on the internet so my friend suggested me to do “pc recovery” so I followed her advice and my computer worked perfectly again then afterwards when I try to log into my account it keeps restarting.when I turn it on it tells me ” we appologize for the invonvince but there was an hardware/software problem “then it gives me option to start” window normally ” and 3 more options which I dnt remember so when I press on start window normally it jus says “monitor is goin to sleep” it goes off and comes back on,it jus repeats it self .now that I tried to press f10 it jus freazes on the backround.
I don’t know how to erase everything and start over? My friend told me to get the window xp cd and jus put it in the computer & it will give options to erease everything.im jus thinking is it jus a window xp cd ? Oh yeh btw I dnt know where’s is my pc restoring cd so im gonna get the window xp cd from my friend.im jus so lost bout what happened to it & how am I suppose to use the cd and do it.any help?

Your friend was on the right track, but just abit back to front.
Ok, when boot up your computer, hold your finger on the “F8″ key.
If it beeps & beeps take your finger off for about 1 sec and then put it back on.
It will come up with grey writing on a black screen. It is going to ask you how you want to start your computer. We are going to choose “Safe Mode”.
When it starts to load, it will ask you how to log in. We want to go in as an “Admin”.
Once loaded, run your anti-virus program. If it finds anything deal with it. Close that program and then run your anti-spyware program and do the same.
Once all is down, restart your computer and see what happens.
Hopefully you’ll be able to log in.

first,yes you need to restore back to factory level,second your freiends cd will not work,it will not be THE GENUIE WINDOWS IT CAME WITH ,THAT MEANS IT WILL NOT UPDATE!!!!!!!have you tried restoring back a few days??
turn it on and watch the screen close,follow it and maybe you can click on keys that will start a reload hidden inside your system,you did not say what kind you had,so really can not tell you HOW to reload it
I think your computer affected with virus. the best way to clean up is format all drives in your computer with windows xp cd and try to reinstall windows xp again. this will resolve your problem.
While installing xp it asks to “Install new” or “Repair existing”.
select Install new.
