Disabling Antivirus Windows Vista Experts Only Please.?

I have a laptop that I ONLY use for when I DJ. It has AVG Free as the anti virus software on it but since I never connect to the internet with it i always get the “your virus definitions are out of date” and then I get the warning from windows and blah blah blah and so on. I have just been ignoring it, and honestly it doesn’t affect the performance of my computer at all to have it like that, but I like to keep my computer running like butta!
My question is can I disable all anti virus stuff and the windows security alerts and windows defender without getting some other bogus warning when I start up my laptop?
thanks

You can disable the Vista notification tray, but all notifications will be disabled not just out of date virus definition ones – but it’s not that big a deal.
