My Laptop Just Won’t Run Xp? Can Someone Help?

My windows vista crashed after about a month after getting my PS3, now when i had my PS3 I was ripping movies onto the 80GB Harddrive and it filled it up with movies and games alike. However, when Vista crashed, i swapped the Harddrive from the Laptop and the PlayStation making the Playstation 120GB and the Laptop 80GB. The specs for the Laptop are 2.00GHz Celeron 550, 2GB DDR2 667MHZ with an Intel X3100 Graphics chip. Wireless and the whole benchmark stuff for the modern day laptops. however, when vista crashed, because i replaced the harddrive and i reformatted it, i lost the recovery console and i lost the whole operating system. So, luckly i had the ablility to go to my desktop and download the Windows 7 Beta. After having that installed and working better than vista, i decided to leave that running on the laptop as a permanent O/S until i could be bothered either downloading or installing Vista again. But then Windows 7 crashed (Lol @ microsoft and myself for using their software) i then used the Linux KDE 4.0 as my main operating system, well, thats what i had in mind, but i couldnt find the drivers for the wireless and i needed the wireless more than anything else, so i scrapped that idea and decided to use to to download Windows 7 Beta from the ethernet connection. After installing that and useing it for about 1/2 months, i started to get the feel of it, but then my mate was going to install it and called me up and said “You know this O/S expires in august right?” so i was very pissed off. Now I downloaded Windows XP (Wasn’t illegal, I paid) ;) and installed it without a hickup, now the previous times when i downloaded it ;) it wouldnt detect the SATA hard drive in the laptop, but now it detected it, formatted to NTFS and installed it fine. started it once and it installed all the drivers and installed all the hardware. once it did that, it restarted. Now it takes about 2 seconds at the windows XP boot screen and it gets a Flash of Blue Screen of Death and reboots, even safe mode doesn’t work. now i just want to know if i can fix this because Windows XP Black would run flawlessly on this laptop and at incredable speeds, but i just cant get it to start, so please if anyone could tell me how to install this cr@p i would greatly appreciate it!

Why Is The Computer Still Slower + Weird After Kaspersky Supposedly Deleted A Trojan?

Hi,
I’ve never used any type of antiVirus or antiSpyware software before so I’m a newbie with this stuff. I stupidedly ran a bogus exe file last night and ended up with a Win32.Agent.cfqz. I also found jestertb.dll, sys1.dll and sys2.dll adwares on my computer. The trojan itself had programs crash frequently, make the computer slow like it was ’95 again or something, and my dual second monitor that runs with a usb adapter goes black for 1-2 seconds randomly.
Kaspersky said the trojan was in my Flock cache. So I first had it delete it and then wiped private data clean through Flock. Compared to the time the trojan was around, the computer is much better, but it’s still worse than it was two days ago. In the two hours I’ve used the computer since the trojan has been gone, the screen has flickered twice. I’ve had this dual monitor for a month and it never flickered before so I’m positive the trojan or adware caused it. Also twice when I clicked on the start menu, it would freeze for 5 or 10 seconds. Flock also became real slow with 5 tabs relatively quickly…I usually have 10ish tabs on for a few hours before the RAM usage slows it down.
What should I do? I’ve been looking on how to wipe all temporary files and internet files. Webroot Window Washer seems to have the best reviews but I thought I’d ask here before throwing down $20. Also should I have a second antispyware and antivirus software? I used the SUPERAntiSpyware free version and a paid copy of Kaspersky. I wouldn’t mind spend around $25 or so for an antispyware software but I’d rather not buy a second anti-virus (I’m poor :P ).
Sorry if I wrote too much I’m just a bit annoyed right now, but seriously thanks to anyone who takes the time to help.

My Computer Keeps Restarting…?

hey guys, so heres the story:
yesterday i had my computer on, normal and everything, i then turned it off as you normally would. today after school i get home, i try turning on my computer, what happens is it shows the HP INVENT blue screen, then it goes to a black screen with all this white writing like choose which mode you want to go into (windows xp media center edition or windows recovery mode) and then it goes to a screen where it says we apologize for the inconvenience, but windows did not start successfully. a recent hardware or software change might have caused this. it then gives you options to go into safe mode, safe mode with networking, and safe mode with configuration…and on the bottom it says you can click on last known good configuration or start windows normally. i clicked on every single one…they all go to that black screen with the windows xp logo and that blue loading sign…but then after that it restarts all over again…whats going on? and how can i cure it so itll start up normally? i cant even go to the login screen!

Ipod Touch Won’t Turn On And Is Generally Being Weird?

Ok, so first I couldn’t lock my iPod with the button on top, it just didn’t do anything. Then after a few seconds it would say ‘slide to power off’ but never lock. This got quite annoying and so I plugged it into my PC and ejected it etc. and as soon as it turned on, ‘slide to power off’ came up. So I did a complete restore of all my iPod, everything wiped off. Now I can’t turn it on at all. It comes on when I plug it in and that’s fine. But it’s like the lock button and home button are completely unresponsive (the home button works when you’re using the iPod). I have tried the whole recovery mode, and holding the buttons down for 15 seconds to restart and all that, it doesn’t do it. I could take it to apple, but the thing is, I did try to hack it once, and it didn’t work :D I don’t know if this is traceable or not or if it did anything to my iPod but it never got to the stage of actually installing the software because it said it didn’t support my firmware. Do you think I could still take it back to apple? Or is there a way to fix this?

I Need Software That Copies All Files From One Hd To Another?

My motherboard shorted out, but luckily, for some reason, it DID NOT affect the hard-drive! I know because, I’ve already tried it on my new motherboard. Hence my question.
A long time ago I thought I remembered having some software that would “rip” a hard-drive and transfer all that information to another hard-drive, to include the boot sector, hidden, data and application files. Can anyone point me to that software?
