Dell 2400 Dimension Starts Then Screen Goes Blank, Help?

Dell 2400 Dimension starts then screen goes blank, help?
I have a Dell 2400 Dimension and I power up and see WindowsXP then a blank screen. I then tried F8 to go into safemode but the screen went blank again. Next I hit F1, it said dell did not start your PC for safety reasons and said a new software or hardware may have been added.
I don’t have recovery disc, Dell won’t help…. any idea’s how to get to “System Restore”.
ps: I don’t care if I lose any files at this point, again I have NO DISC

What Program/application Can I Use To Locate And Delete The Leftover Bits And Pieces Of Deleted Software?

You know how when you delete a program there is usually some small file or such that is leftover.. and after a while a number of these builds and you want to get rid of them but can’t be bothered doing it manually? There is probably a software out there that does this so please advise..
I have a MacBook so Mac OS X compatible programs/apps.

I Made A Mistake And Deleted Microsoft Office. How Do I Get It Back?

I was trying to get rid of the microsoft office 2007 trail pre-installed on my pc..sooo… I configured/changed my Microsoft Office 2003 software that I installed on my pc in the “uninstall and change programs” section..(I got that advice from the microsoft help website!) And it deleted Microsoft Office 2003! I tried to recovery it, but my computer had no recovery points! What should I do? Does my hard drive still have Microsoft Office 2003 on it SOMEWHERE?

Why do we not have free Worm Removers? [ I was asked to install Bitdefender,Spyhunter and told to do so many things I did all but the stupid worm BrontokAg is still running and staying free in my PC.No antivirus except AVG 7.5 Free only detected this worm but could not remove the worm.Any help will be rewarded with a gift if I can have the address of such a internet wizard.

Can A Virus/keyloger Stay In My Computoer If I Reformat?

my comp does not had recovery disc’s only internal recovery system ie alt + ctrl and hold f10 brings up a reformat option.. i have done this completly gone back to factory basics and ther still seems to be a keyloger or something on my computer its trying to stop me from downloadin anti virus’ and other programs that will help me identify it… i really need answers on this as its stressing me .. Ive been told that they can only stay in software but as ive cleared everything… how can it be ther still…??????? Please help me and yeh Im female so explain how this has accured…

Mcafee – Renewal – Via Store Box Or Download?

For the past few years, I would buy the latest upgrade of my Mcafee virusscan and firewall and a friend of mine would uninstall my old version and install my new version. I bought it last year at Costco’s for $39 plus tax. My friend is sick and not able to help me so when McAfee notified me that my software had expired, I for the first time renewed over line. The cost of renewal download plus a recovery disc to be mailed to me was $62. I thought that was awful high but am not sure of what other antivirus softwares are charging. Is there any advantages/disadvantage to doing it the download way vs buying the box at the store and installing. Mcafee does give you 30 days to cancel your order and they will refund your money. Thanks.
