I Can’t Remember The Password To My Computer’s Administrator Profile. I’m Basically Locked Out! Help!?

I put a password on my profile, and the other two profiles on my computer don’t have administrator privileges. Now I can hardly download anything, and I am locked out of my most important files. I am considering doing a clean install with another copy of Windows, but one of the first steps is to create a recovery disk, and of course I need to be an administrator to do this! So I am thinking maybe I could just download the correct drivers and reinstall windows – and I will lose everything. At least I could start over…But do I need to be an administrator to do this? And If I do this without creating a restore disk my computer wont have the original software it came with. Will that be a problem? Is all of that software necessary? By the way, I have a Sony Vaio t2300 notebook. I checked out the support website, but it doesn’t really answer my questions. I wish there was some type of tip or trick that could help me to recover my password! I know someone out there can help me out, you are welcome to email me with any advice. I am very reluctant to reinstall Windows at this point because I don’t want to totally screw up my computer and end up having to pay Best Buy an arm and a leg to do something I could do myself with the proper guidance. Sorry so long, but if you guys have read any of my answers you already know that sometimes I don’t know when to quit….

Why Does My Toshiba Satellite A100 Laptop Keep Freezing?

I have re-booted twice. I’m not sure if installing the Norton 360 Antivirus Software could be the culprit? As that was when the freezing problems began. My hard drive has been defragmented and i have 43.7GB of free space, so i don’t think my laptop is overloaded…
I’m not an expert with all this technical stuff, so any help is appreciated… thanks

I Need Fax Software That Will Allow My Computer To Recieve And Print Incoming Faxes. What Software Is Needed?

I have a computer with multiport fax modem cards already installed. I just need some software that will allow the computer to recieve and print incoming faxes from the fax lines. I do not need the software to route the faxes to an email or sort the faxes in any way. I simply need it to print out the faxes. What brand of software should I be looking for. (I have looked into FaxMaker by GFI and this appears to be more geared toward email routing and archiving)
